Dr. Shu Tao is a professor in College of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University, China. He is a member of Chinese Academy of Science and a member of National Steering Committee on Environmental Protection. He serves as Associate Editor of Environmental Science & Technology and editorial members of Environmental Pollutant and Journal of Environmental Science and Health. He is currently board members of International Panels on Chemical Pollution and Pacific Basin Consortium for Environmental and Health Sciences. His current research interests include global emission inventories of various air pollutants, atmospheric transport and population exposure modeling, household air quality, and bioaccessibility of toxic pollutants. He has more than 300 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals, including two in PNAS and 73 in Environmental Science & Technology with current H-index (Web of Science) of 54.

Kalliat T. Valsaraj Bio
Dr. Kalliat T. Valsaraj is the Vice President for Research & Economic Development at LSU. He holds the titles of Charles and Hilda Roddey Distinguished Professor in Chemical Engineering and Ike East Professorship in Chemical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the National Academy of Inventors. In 2011, he was awarded the LSU Distinguished Research Master award. The professional societies of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Chemical Society awarded him the Charles E. Coates award in 2012.

He received a M.Sc. in chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1980 and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Vanderbilt University in 1983. After a brief stint at the Arkansas Engineering Experiment Station of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, he joined LSU in 1986 as a research associate. He later became a regular faculty in the Cain Department of Chemical Engineering and progressed through the ranks to a tenured full professor. He served as the chemical engineering department chair from 2005 to 2011. He has also provided service as a member of the Faculty Senate, chair of the College of Engineering Policy Committee and several other committees during his 32 years of service to LSU.

His research area is in environmental chemical engineering. He has broad research experience in wastewater treatment, atmospheric chemistry and, modeling the fate and transport of contaminants in all three environmental media (air, water and soil/sediment). He has published more than 200 referred papers, several books, holds two patents and has made over 300 research presentations worldwide. He has mentored 14 Ph.D., 21 MS students at LSU and several postdoctoral students in addition to hosting a number of visiting professors in his laboratory. He serves on several national committees and boards including the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Inventors. A textbook authored by him has undergone four successive editions.

Dr. Worsnop is a leading expert in the chemistry and heterogeneous reactions of atmospheric aerosols. He has pioneered the development of laboratory and field measurement techniques for investigating chemical interactions between atmospheric trace gases and aerosols, including water droplets. His expertise extends to the mechanisms of the formation of polar stratospheric clouds, and to measurements of the chemical composition of atmospheric aerosols. Dr. Worsnop is a recipient of the 2004 Benjamin Y. H. Liu Award (American Association for Aerosol Research) for his achievements in atmospheric composition measurement with the Aerodyne mass spectrometer system (AMS).  He received the 2010 Yoram Kaufman (AGU Atmospheric Sciences) for Unselfish Cooperation in Research and is a Fellow of AAAS and AGU.

Dr. Pingqing Fu is Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry and Biogeochemistry at the Institute of Surface-Earth System Science, Tianjin University. He received Ph.D in Geochemistry from the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGCAS) in 2004. From 2005 to 2006, he worked in IGCAS as an Associate Professor. From 2006 to 2011 he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Low Temperature Science, Hokkaido University, Japan. Dr. Fu returned to Beijing in 2011 and joined the IAPCAS as a Full Professor since then. Dr. Fu joined Tianjin University since February 2018. His research interests include the study of organics in atmospheric aerosols, rain, snow, cloud and fog waters at a molecular level as it relates to long-range transport, photochemical degradation, and climate change. He has authored and co-authored more than 120 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals. Prof. Fu was selected as the Distinguished Young Scholar of NSFC in 2016. Professor Fu has been a continuous holder of the grants from CAS and NSF of China. He is currently the Associate Editor of 《npj Climate and Atmospheric Science》 and an Editorial Board Member of 《Scientific Reports》.

Professor Mukesh Khare is the Fellow of Institution of Engineers India and Fellow of Wessex Institute of Great Britain. He is a Chartered Engineer and was born in Varanasi, India. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Faculty of Engineering from Newcastle University, UK and has managed a range of environmental projects throughout his professional career. With a specialization in air quality modelling, Prof. Khare’s experience has covered research and development studies, teaching, consulting, modelling, editorial activities. In addition, Prof. Khare has authored more than 150 research publications primarily for peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has two sons and lives and work in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India.

Dr. Suresh Jain is Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. He had received his Ph.D. degree in air quality modelling for urban transport emissions from Civil Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and Master of Technology in Environmental Engineering and Management from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He had received DAAD scholarship during his master’s degree and he worked on human health and ecological risk assessment at University of Stuttgart, Germany from May 2000 to February 2001.

Dr. Jain has more than 15 years research, teaching and consultancy experience in the area of Environmental Science and Engineering. Prior to joining IIT Tirupati, Dr. Jain was Professor and Head, Department of Energy and Environment, TERI SAS (earlier TERI University), New Delhi. He was teaching postgraduate level courses (MSc, MTech and MBA), which include Air Quality Management, Air Pollution and Climate Change, Environmental Health and Risk Assessment, Integrated Impact Assessment and Environmental Management System, which has given him wide experience in various environmental issues. Dr. Jain also worked for SGS India Pvt. Ltd. In SGS, he was leading the team and was responsible for environmental consultancy in the field of urban air quality modeling, environmental impact assessment, environmental management, carbon foot print analysis, life cycle analysis etc. His industry experience has given practical insights and has been of immense help in his teaching and research, which also gives a distinctive advantage while carrying out his duties as teacher and researcher.

Dr. Jain is expert member of BRICS Network University on behalf of Government of India. He is founding member of Global Centre for Clean Air Research (GCARE), University of Surrey, UK. He has experience of successful supervision and evaluation of post graduate research students at PhD and masters levels worldwide. He has 3 international/national books/monographs and around 50 international papers in journals to his credit. Presently, he is supervising 4 Ph.D. students. He is involved in several international and national projects related to above topics. He is a member of several professional bodies. He is also associated with the Ford Foundation, USA and Open Society Foundations, UK for International Fellowship program. He is recipient of International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), USA – 2017; Vice-Chancellor’s Faculty of the Year Award – 2017; Commonwealth Professional Fellow 2016-17, UK; KTP Visiting Fellow-2014 by UTS, Sydney; Role of Honor by TERI-2012-13 and earthian-2013 award by Wipro as a part of sustainability program. Prof. Jain is working with many international groups such as UTS, Australia, University of Surrey, University of Birmingham, UK and Yale University, University of California, USA.
